Rosie ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or an anonymized identifier if you choose to hide your email with Apple).
Beauty profile: Information you provide about your skin type, skin tone, hair type, style preferences, and other beauty-related attributes.
Conversation history: Messages you send to Rosie and her responses, used to personalize your experience and maintain memory across sessions.
Usage data: How you interact with the App, including features used, screens visited, and session duration.
Purchase information: Subscription status and purchase history, processed by Apple. We do not store your payment card details.
Photos: If you choose to share photos with Rosie for style or skincare analysis, these are processed to generate your response and are not stored permanently.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize the Rosie experience
- To remember your preferences and beauty profile across sessions
- To process your subscription and verify purchases
- To improve our AI models and App features (using anonymized, aggregated data only)
- To send important notices about your account or the service
- To comply with legal obligations
3. AI and Third-Party Services
Rosie uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate Rosie's replies. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not sell your conversation data to third parties.
We use Supabase to store your account data and conversation history securely.
4. Affiliate Links
When Rosie recommends products, links may be affiliate links. Clicking these links and making purchases may earn us a commission. We do not share your personal information with affiliate partners.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
- Service providers: Anthropic (AI), Supabase (database), Apple (payments, authentication), Google (authentication) — only as necessary to operate the App
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Conversation history is retained to power Rosie's memory feature. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile section of the App. Account deletion is processed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Rosie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at sarahofva@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 10. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
